This asymmetrically styled home varies in size from the grand estate to a one and a half to two - story cottage. Roofs are steeply gabled, and chimneys are oversized and decorated with chimney pots. Windows are often casement style and leaded glass. The exterior is often half-sawn timbers and stucco, although brick and stone are also used.

The Cottage Garden plan for an Tudor Revival home
Let Shakespeare’s garden serves as inspiration. Winding paths, an arbor, boxwood or yew hedges, topiary, vines – climbing roses or honeysuckle, and a dense planting of old favorites, including trailing ivy among the flower beds, clumps of poppies, lilies, lavender and chives, and any scented herb.
